Jupiter is a favorite of many amateurs and the public love it because no planet shows detail like Jupiter. Let's
all take our scopes out March 4th-6th to show Jupiter to as many on our planet as possible. While that weekend is the focus
of this event, you'll have many opportunities during the year to observe Jupiter.
When you go out observing Jupiter, make sure to send us some photos of the public as they get a first glimpse
this beautiful planet. Some of our members like to use a projection screen so that when the
public can photobomb the gas giant. Looking for the giant red spot and wondering if there's an app for that... of course there
is, and one to tell which moons you are seeing.
If you are worried about weather
and need a back up plan, schedule a talk about Gallileo's discovery of the large moons and maybe show off a Galilleo Scope??
